During the sometimes rainy weekend, thirty-two acts performed outdoors in front of 500,000 concert-goers. Everybody knows what Woodstock was. But who really knows which music had been played there? Ok, there was that morning rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by Jimi Hendrix, later rattle&hummed by U2. And Joe Cocker sang an amazing version of With a Little Help From My Friends (even if we're still not sure about what he really sang). And maybe we saw the movie. But what about all the other acts and songs? The festival as a whole? I realized how ignorant I was, so I kind of re-built the great festival on Spotify. I found the original tracklists of every concert in the nice Woodstock Wikia. I looked for them. This is the result. Where available, I chose the original Woodstock recordings. Some other songs are live (mostly from 1960s or 1970s concerts), some are recorded in studio. I found at least one song from each artist played at Bethel, but Bert Sommer and Quill. Enjoy it! And don't forget having some wild sex in the mud. :o)
