Mojo's 60 Greatest Elektra Albums

Mojo: "great writers? we're the gods of graphic design, too!"

Mojo charts have always something special. They're made by some of the best and most passionated music writers of our time. People who not only know music, but can also write about it and take it from great history to change it in a great story. It happened again in one of the latest issues of the magazine, #204 November 2010, with a long feature dedicated to Elektra Records' 60th anniversary. Doors, Love, Stooges, MC5, Tim Buckley, Nico, Carly Simon, Queen: many artists of the golden age of rock'n'roll (and folk, and blues...) recorded their masterpieces under Jac Holzman's label. Mojo has chosen its personal 60 favourite albums, giving us details and notes about each album. Here I spotified that list. And I added a little greatest hits selection with sixty of the most popular tracks. Enjoy it! And buy the magazine: reading the feature while listening to the music is a lovely vintage pleasure. :o)
