As you have seen from this week posts, everybody is sharing its end of year lists. But does it exist a definitive one? A world wide list featuring the real best 50 albums (and tracks) of 2011? Probably, not. It's oh so personal. Anyway, with The Spotirama Essentials 2011, I'm utopistically and mathematically tryin' to reach that goal. This is an aggregated chart based on all the 2011 Top 50 Albums lists I've published so far. The rule is simple: I assign 50 points to #1 album, 49 points to #2, 48 points to #3 and so on. I will keep this playlist updated, with the new ones coming (some big shots awaited for the next week, i.e. The Guardian and Pitchfork). And I'm doing something similar with songs, that I will soon publish. So... enjoy!
